We’ve been sending Hugo to EMM since he was 7 months old, and it’s been a great fit for our family. You can tell the whole teaching team really cares about the kids, they greet Hugo so warmly every morning. He’s having a blast there, dancing along to “Pump It Up”, and loving all the trips to local parks and gardens, and other activities they work into the day. He’s clearly attached to his teachers and his friends. We couldn’t recommend EMM more!

We started our daughter at EMM when she turned one years old.  We had looked at many schools, and in the end we felt EMM offered not only the strongest Montessori driven program, but also had a very loving, communal feel. 

Our intuition about the school turned out to be right, but what really blew us away is how happy our daughter has been going to school every day.  The teachers at the school are caring and warm.  Our daughter smiles every morning when she's greeted at the door by them, and willingly (often excitedly) goes into school.  The school is extremely communicative, and most of all thoughtful.  Our daughter started in October after the school year had begun, and the administration came up with a well thought out plan of how to best introduce her to the school in a way that would help her to adjust well.  It worked, and she ended up having no issue at all beginning her time at EMM.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience for her, or for us as her parents.  It’s amazing to drop our daughter off at school knowing she is happy, safe, excited, and that she has caring adults around that are helping her grow.

We cannot thank the EMM team enough for the incredible care they’ve given our son, Bobby, this past year. Sending your first child to daycare is never easy, but they made the transition feel seamless and reassuring from day one. They treat him with such warmth and attention—as if he were their own—and we trust them completely. From creative art projects to outings at local parks and gardens, the days are filled with enriching, engaging activities, all while providing truly personalized care. We’ve been so happy with our experience and recommend EMM without hesitation.

My daughter started at EMM at 16 months old after spending the previous 8 months in daycare. While her previous caregivers were kind and loving, we very quickly saw amazing changes after just a few weeks at EMM -- more desire for independence, a huge increase in attention span, much better hand-eye coordination, and a rapid pickup in language. Today, she is a chatty and self-assured toddler who talks about her classmates when she is not with them, seems to learn a new word, concept, or skill every single day, and most importantly, is a kind and happy child. The teachers at EMM are creative and wise, and they celebrate each child for who they are. We feel so lucky to have found it!

Since starting with you in Jan 2024, we have seen Nadia blossom under your care. The enrichment and experiences offered at your facility are unparalleled, and we have not been able to replicate the effect on Nadia's development, personality, manners and progress. As you know, Adam had his final week with EMM last week.
We are eternally grateful to the EMM team for patiently educating and nurturing Adam over the last two years. You've not only taught him the rich and stimulating EMM curriculum, but additionally helped shape his personality in all the right ways. You've also provided a beautiful place for him to make some of his first strong friendships.

Like any 5 year old, Adam still has a lot to learn, but thanks to your hard work and friendly care he's received a terrific foundation for his future life.

Thank you Miss Maya for your patient teaching, thank you Miss Marie for your French songs and for a welcome touch of Europe, thank you Miss Reina for your fun and lively Spanish boost, thank you Miss Katie and Mr. Cesar and Miss Ariana for all your friendly welcomes and warm work with the kids.

Finally thank you Miss Laurie and Natania for running a tight ship, and for being supportive, flexible, understanding and exceptionally helpful a countless number of times.

Dear EMM Staff, 

We miss you all so much! We talk about New York often as we are still getting settled in the Bay Area and have tried two schools- with nothing as wonderful as EMM. Annie has said all summer that she misses “Brooklyn and my school.” Sending a few photos as she turned 3 yesterday!
